Who Am I?

My name is Anne Davidson, and I have had enjoyed a full career in various industries as Company Accountant/Financial Director. I enjoyed running my own business for more than 10 years but when the recession happened in 2012 for my company it was time to move on to pastures new. I always had a plan that when I retired I would do my Yoga full time, to pass on its benefits. However, due to a chance meeting, with my ex Landlord Alison Clarke of MEPC, life brought this opportunity to my doorstep sooner than I thought and a business relationship was developed with MEPC in Hillington Park, Glasgow. I have enjoyed the last five years running all my classes at the Innovation Centre but due to changes there, I found myself making the huge step of taking on my own studio. I have been very lucky to find the right space at Trump Developments owned by Jonathon Brown who has been most helpful. The most inspiring thing about my new premises is that it’s the old Rolls-Royce buildings where my Father worked for over 30 years as the Superintendent of all the Apprentices.

I don't believe in coincidences but believe everything good and bad happens for a reason!

I am a British Wheel of Yoga Diploma Teacher but have enjoyed studying with other bodies of Yoga such as Yoga Scotland, Inner Yoga and successfully completing an advanced course "The Yoga Journey" with The Society of Yoga Practitioners (TSYP). The Yoga Journey course has provided me with the qualifications to further develop my knowledge with regards to various health issues of which I am particularly interested in. This now allows me to offer therapeutic yoga, in 1-2-1 sessions i.e. helping people with any medical issues such as diabetes, cancer and depression. In achieving this Diploma, I am now currently registered with Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which is recognised by the Department of Health. I am now currently studying for another Diploma with Svastha Yoga in Europe for Therapy which so far has been wonderful and very informative.

Having the Studio has now given me the opportunity to add extra classes during the week both mornings and evenings. I am also delivering Introductory Courses for students who want to learn more or thinking about Teacher Training over the period of a year which I am thoroughly enjoying. I am also planning various seminars etc. for the Studio which you will be able to find updates and news on, through my Facebook Page.

As everyone has different needs it is important to have the correct practice which I can provide, by doing a 1 to 1 session or even a Buddy session (2 people) for people who for some reason cannot attend a class regularly or have a condition/illness that requires therapeutic yoga. As I specialise in Depression, a 1-2-1 session can help towards building up and finding the strength to begin to attend group classes. For further information please do not hesitate to contact me either via e-mail or by phone to discuss your requirements in detail.
